The Davis-Thompson Foundation invites you to submit your best-quality digital gross, microscopic, or ultrastructural images depicting a gorgeous lesion to our monthly image contest. Each month a new image will take pride of place on the front page of the monthly newsletter and in a blog post. Winning images will be added to Noah’s Arkive to be preserved forever!

Figure requirements

  • do not exceed 5 MB, TIFF and JPEG formats accepted (TIFF preferred), we recommend saving TIFF files with LZW compression for best quality
  • width 6.8 inches (17.3 cm), minimum resolution 300 pixels/inch (120 pixels/cm) for half-tones (photos, photomicrographs)
  • must include a figure legend (attached as a separate Word document) that includes 1) name(s) of contributors and affiliated institutions, 2) brief description of lesion to include patient signalment, 3) diagnosis, and 4) any additional helpful information

Congratulations to our July winner Dr. Nataly Mamaliger, from Mississippi State University, for her outstanding gross image of duodenal lymphangiectasia in a 10-year-old, female spayed, Yorkshire Terrier dog with protein-losing enteropathy.
