Veterinary Pathology Workshop, Rwanda.

The Davis-Thompson Foundation, Global Health Pathology Network, Gorilla Doctors and University of Rwanda will hold an incredible 2-days workshop in veterinary pathology with necropsy practices and diagnostics of typical diseases encountered in Rwanda.
No registration fees! You can attend both or either day! Meet your veterinary colleagues and enter a diagnostic competition. Register today, spaces are limited.

8:30 am – 10:00 am: Pathology and Necropsy overview (goals, terms, methods, examples of gross lesions and description. Participants will receive pre-class learning material by email.
10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Practical experience- Pig and goat necropsies
12:00 am – 1:00 pm: Lunch
1:00 pm – 1:45 pm: Pig diagnostic session (pig diseases common to Rwanda)
Break 15 minutes
2:00 pm – 2:50 pm: Goat diagnostic session (goat diseases common to Rwanda)
Break 10 minutes
3:00 pm – 4:00 pm: he identification of metazoans in tissue (Dr. Sarah Poynton)
Break 10 minutes
4:10 pm – 5:15 pm: Zoonoses diagnostic session (zoonoses in wildlife and domestic animals)

9:30 am – 11:30 am: Practical experience- Poultry Necropsy
11:30 am- 12:30 pm: Lunch
12:30 pm to 2:00 pm: Poultry diagnostic session (poultry diseases common to Rwanda)
2:15 pm – 3:30 pm: Cattle diagnostic session (cattle and wildlife diseases in Rwanda)
3:45 pm – 5:00 pm: Wildlife diagnostic session
