Workshop on Diseases of Local Livestock. Kupang, Indonesia

The Global Health Pathology Network together with Universitas Nusa Cendana and the Davis-Thompson Foundation bring to Kupang, Indonasia a wonderful workshop focused on studying pathogenesis of the major diseases affecting the local livestock – cattle, goats, pigs, and chickens.
Materials will be presented in a case-based manner, with group discussions for optimal learning. Participants will work through mechanisms of pathogenesis, doing hands-on practical exercises, and practice with morphologic diagnoses. All sessions will be interactive and participatory, and use Adult Learning Principles.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Explain basic mechanisms of disease for major diseases of concern in livestock in the region
2. Use history, clinical signs, and gross lesions observed to create a list of differential diagnoses
3. Create morphologic diagnoses to accurately relay information about lesions
The workshop will be held IN PERSON only at Faculty Meeting Room, FKKH Undana, Penfui, Kupang.
