Clinical signs included depression, droopy ears, nasal and oral discharge, diarrhea, and poor body condition. Two cows were euthanized. At necropsy, the pleura was diffusely thickened with fibrinous pleuritis. The cranioventral lung lobes were diffusely and markedly firm with fibrinosuppurative necrotizing bronchopneumonia. The histologic changes had multifocal areas of coagulative necrosis, rimmed by a dense basophilic band of oat-like cells. The submitted lung lobes had a heavy growth of Mannheimia haemolytica.
