This continuing professional development (CPD) training will focus on the disease progression mechanisms, describing lesions, and using critical thinking skills to create a list of differential diagnoses. Participants will practice performing postmortem examinations (i.e. necropsies) on mammalian species (privately owned animals or small ruminants) and/or other animal species (e.g, poultry), writing a complete necropsy report, and packaging samples for transport to the laboratory. The connections between the field and the laboratory (to include veterinary public health) will be reinforced, helping both field veterinarians and laboratorians to solve disease problems in the field in a concerted manner.

Join us for a two-days course designed to help candidates that are preparing to take the Clinical Proficiency Examination (CPE) by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) and the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) National Examining Board (NEB).
Join us in person for this year's exciting Northeast Veterinary Pathology Conference (NEVPC) meeting with a special focus on zoo and wildlife pathology. Registrants will have the opportunity to see a variety of curious cases and to hear our excellent keynote speaker- Dr. Karen Terio, DVM, PhD, DACVP (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign).
