Interested in submitting a case?
We encourage case submissions that follow the oral pathology theme, but that is not a strict requirement. Please follow the submission guidelines. Submissions which do not follow the guidelines will be returned.
Whole-slide images of the cases will be sent to all participants for review in advance of the meeting.
Presenters: Slide submission and a 1 to 2 page case summary are due: March 27, 2024.
Your slide submission will preferably include just the tissue of interest. A single H&E recut (and any special stains you want scanned) should be submitted to Dr. Kevin Keel with the following information. Please do not submit slides from multiple blocks or slides from multiple cases. A single slide from a single case is required, but we can scan special stains of that slide. For your convenience, a submission form is included in an attachment.
- Name, status, email of presenter
- Slide Number/Slide Name (Typically the label on the slide)
- Diagnosis (morphologic or etiologic)
- Specimen (Necropsy or Biopsy)
- Species (Dog, Cat, Horse, Mouse, Etc)
- Tissue (or organ)
- Preparation (Frozen Section, Cytology, or Paraffin embedded)
- Staining (e.g. HE, Trichome, CD3 IHC)
