Signalment:Eleven-year-old, female, spayed, golden retriever dog

History:This dog was presented to a veterinary clinic for left and unilateral submandibular swelling. Physical examination and a complete blood count revealed pyrexia and leukopenia. A fine needle aspirate of the mass yielded purulent, green-tinged fluid.
