Signalment:7 month old male cast raised miniature pinscher

History:The patient was presented to the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine Diagnostic Laboratory for necropsy. The patient was adopted from Louisiana two days prior to presentation at his primary veterinarian with no known medical conditions. According to his owner, the patient acutely collapsed while playing outside. Resuscitation efforts at the primary veterinarian did not result in return of spontaneous heart rate or respiration.
