Signalment:Adult male common snapping turtle

History:Presented with major trauma to the face and lower mandible after being hit by a motor vehicle. The turtle was anesthetized for reconstructive jaw surgery with a combination of alfaxalone and isoflurane for approximately 2 hours, however; during the recovery period the turtle went into irreversible cardiac arrest and died.
