Signalment:5-year-old neutered male Pit Bull Terrier
History:The dog presented to the referring veterinarian for acute hindlimb paraplegia bilaterally and urinary and fecal incontinence. He demonstrated pain on palpation of the thoracolumbar spine.
Gross Lesions:Multifocally throughout the cervical and lumbar spinal cord were small areas of dark red material (hemorrhage) that dissected along white matter tracts.
