Signalment:54 year old, female, southern white rhinoceros

History:Oliva, one of the oldest female rhinoceros in captivity, had been housed in a large, mixed-species habitat at the North Carolina Zoo for 35 years. Euthanized for declining quality of life and large pressure sores and GI ulceration.
