March 1, 2021 the Foundation welcomed Dr. Jey Koehler into the role of President. Dr. Koehler has previously served on the Faculty of Discussants and the Board of Directors, and since 2016 has been the director of the Descriptive Veterinary Pathology course. From Dr. Koehler: “I am so honored and proud to be able to serve in this capacity for our Foundation. I will do my very best to help implement the vision of our CEO, Dr. Paco Uzal, and to keep our global mission well-funded to the satisfaction of our CFO and long-time tireless Foundation champion, Dr. Bruce Williams. I believe strongly in our mission of making high-quality veterinary and comparative pathology education available to everyone. I also strongly support the Foundation’s tenet that we ‘reject all manifestations of discrimination including those based on race, ethnicity, gender and gender expression, sexual orientation, nationality, citizenship status, age, disability, religious beliefs or lack thereof, political beliefs, socioeconomic class, or any of the other differences among people which may be excuses for misunderstanding, dissension or hatred. We recognize and cherish the richness contributed to our lives by our diversity. We take pride in all our achievements, and we celebrate our differences.’ I look forward to continuing the great work of those who served before me, as well as exploring new ways to fulfill our mission.”
